Dirty Damned Robots
To celebrate my not quite losing the blog to a damned URL-stealing robot, here's a more or less successful interpretation of Katee Sackhoff from "Battlestar Galactica." Coincidentally, her character fights a lot of robots on the TV show.

Yeah! I will redo my sidebar link again. Thanks for letting me know. Adbots on blogger blogs are common. Before I switched to beta (about the only advantage of beta with all its horrible missteps) some of my blogging friends were telling me they were getting popups. I thought it was their computer. Well, maybe not, considering what happened to your first Utopiamoment blog. Somehow they were able to tap into your html code or something, add an adbot, maybe just using spyware on your computer and made your blog url redirect to their own useless, ad-driven search engine.
I wish I knew more about html and other programing languages to fight these slimy tactics. Anyway, glad you're back!
Yes, but I underestimated how fast they were. I was trying a maintainance thing when blogger was havnig its problems (not a smart move on my part), and the moment I left the URL open, it was snatched up.
I'm pretty happy with the utopiamoment.ca address, however. It's just being forwarded through my web space at the moment, so it won't show up on search engines, I think.
But I'm learning about some of the other blog software, which may be more reliable than blogger, but certainly a heck of a lot more complicated.
One thing I've learned: if you're going to make big changes to your blog, create a dummy, and try them out there. Can save some grief (I'm certainly not a web geek).
